The SCAR is a family of assault rifles, forming FN Herstal's entry into the competition for the US Military's contest for a versatile next generation solution to evolving combat. The gun's name derives from the contest, and stands for Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle. It is synonymous with quality, and adaptability - there are numerous variants, from the standard L (light), H (Heavy), and now we finally have the SC (Compact PDW).

Manufactured by ARES for Cybergun, this is an official SCAR-SC replica, carrying official (and faithfully reproduced) FN Herstal Trademarks. This compact assault rifle has a unique PDW style stock, shortened handguard, CQB length barrel, and is completely ambidextrous, allowing for easier weapon's manipulation. This is a full metal replica, meaning that whatever is metal on the real steel is metal here. As with the real FN SCAR-SC, much of the gun is constructed out of durable plastic to help keep the weight down, making it more comfortable for longer engagements.

Internally this rifle is superb - you have a quick-change V2 gearbox with steel gears, polycarbonate piston, and EFCS Mosfet (Electronic Fire Control System), which combines to make it extremely reliable and a top performer. Paired with a 6.03mm tightbore barrel, this is a force to be reckonned with.

This rifle includes a hard case, helping set it apart from the crowd. And best of all, it is designed for you to make it your own. You have a top 20mm RIS/RAS rail for optics, and railed handguard for grips/flashlights/lasers etc. The fire controls are ambidextrous, as is the magazine release and stock controls, allowing you to easily manipulate the rifle in any conditions. The PDW stock has a few tricks up its sleeve; due to the skeletonised nature, it offers greater clearance for masks, making it easier to aim.

The SCAR-SC is a thing of beauty, and a serious performer whether you're playing CQB, or trying to pick off targets at longer distances.
